Alongside other methods of assessment, we feel this could be really useful for planning for all KS2 year groups, identifying areas of the curriculum for further development and pupils for additional interventions. For current Year 6, this could aid transition and help inform the receiving secondary schools.

There will be no collection of any data by the Local Authority - this is purely to support your assessment, self evaluation and planning.

The QLA tool will enable:

• Recording of pupil level marks for each question, in each paper

• Identify particular questions or areas of learning where responses were high/low compared to national averages

• Identification of pupils or groups of pupils, by gender, FSM, SEN etc, where responses were high/low compared to national averages

• Extension for high achievers, or different approach or interventions where required

• Slice by class in larger schools

• In groups of schools, can slice by school, then class
