Norfolk SEND Partnership (SENDIASS) Training Offer

Norfolk SEND Partnership (SENDIASS) has appointed a new Training and Development Officer: Niamh Keane. Her primary responsibilities will be to write, design and develop training for professionals across education, health and social care, and for parents and carers. She also will work to promote the service, helping professionals (as well as parents, carers, children, and young people) understand how we work, what we do, and how we can help them.

Training will be offered from September onwards. This training may be presented as workshops, webinars and (hopefully in the future) face-to-face. It will be on a number of different topics including but not limited to:

  • Who are we?
  • What is SEN Support?
  • Understanding and Reading EHCPs
  • Annual Reviews of EHCPs
  • Appealing an EHCP (refusal to assess, refusal to issue and a final plan)
  • Personal Budgets

Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook social media accounts, and SENDIASS website to see what training we are offering. If you feel your school specifically may benefit from certain training, then this is something that can be organised directly with the Training and Development Officer.

Please also share these links with your parents and carers so they can also benefit from the training available in September.

If you would like to speak with the Training and Development Officer, please contact Niamh Keane directly on 01603 303369 or email niamh.keane@norfolk.gov.uk.
