Newly improved Norfolk SEND Local Offer website now live!
In August, after months significant work, an improved Norfolk SEND Local Offer website went live.
Norfolk County Council's Digital Team worked with Children's Services and partners including Family Voice Norfolk and the SEND information, advice and support service (SEND IASS) to create a website to help those working with children and young people with SEND and their parents/carers to find information more easily.
Following in-depth research with parents/carers who have a child with SEND, the majority of the content has been edited, refined and restructured to make it much easier for everyone to navigate.
The education and learning section contains a new section to make clear how education settings should support children with SEND and the advice and support section for families has been expanded.
Everybody who works with children and young people with SEND is asked to visit and familiarise themselves with the website so that they are able to proactively signpost parents/carers to relevant webpages.
The improvements have been made as part of the 109 actions in our Written Statement of Actions following the Ofsted/CQC inspection of Norfolk SEND last year.
