Curriculum Training Programmes and Support
This autumn term, the Curriculum Team are offering a range of evidence-based programmes, delivered by our highly-experienced advisers, to enhance the quality of your teaching and accelerate achievement for your learners. We are delighted to have secured funding to provide each Local Authority Maintained school with a fully-funded place on one of the programmes listed below. Each programme comprises a blend of online and face-to-face sessions and briefings and takes place over two terms, with timings and activities designed to support school capacity and teacher workload.
Programmes include:
- English - Securing the Foundations for Successful Reading Comprehension
- English - Securing Solid Foundations for Writing
- English - Write Like an Expert: Improving Non-Fiction
- English - Supporting Struggling Writers in Years 5 and 6
- Mathematics - Effective Mathematics in the Early Years
- Mathematics - Developing Calculations in Years 1 and 2
- Mathematics - Developing Calculations in Years 3 and 4
- Mathematics - Developing Calculation in Years 5 and 6
- Curriculum Review and Support - Improving Your Curriculum
To help us to manage the allocation of places to ensure as many schools as possible get their first choice of programme, please express your preferences by 22nd September using this form. Following this expression of interest, schools will be contacted from the 27th September for further details and to sign up.
Additional programme places can be booked by Local Authority Maintained schools at a cost of £250 per additional participant. Non-LA Maintained Schools are welcome to get in touch to explore the availability of places at a cost of £250.
