Inclusion and SEND Support for Schools
As schools and education settings settle into the new academic year, we know that promoting and supporting the inclusion and SEND needs of pupils remains a high priority.
Over the past year we have developed our offer of inclusion and SEND services for schools and settings. We have aligned teams into a more cohesive structure to make it easier for school staff to access support and advice.
To ensure that the most effective, impactful and efficient support is provided, we have amalgamated the Virtual School SEND (VS SEND) and Inclusion Team to create a new Inclusion and SEND Team that now includes a new offer of Early Intervention and Prevention support.
This team has three strands (Learning and SEND, Early Intervention and Prevention, and SEMH and Transitions Team) which are led by three Senior Advisers who will ensure the support available is delivered as seamlessly as possible (see "What support services are on offer?", below).
How do schools and settings contact Inclusion and SEND?
Our new mailbox provides a single point of enquiry and entry to our services: inclusionandsend@norfolk.gov.uk.
All requests for support will be triaged by the Inclusion and SEND Senior Advisers, ensuring they are allocated to the Inclusion and SEND Adviser best placed to provide bespoke support. Where appropriate, this may be allocated to multiple advisers together with a wider package of whole-school support to meet identified need.
The Inclusion and SEND Helpline (previously Inclusion Helpline) continues to be available and will feed into the team's triage process: 01603 307736.
