Big Norfolk Holiday Fun - Latest news

We want to say a huge thank you for all your support in hosting, delivering, and promoting the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun 2021 programme.

In 2021, 90 providers created nearly 60,000 places across school and non-school settings, with thousands of children accessing the programme across the county. Feedback that we have been receiving is that children are getting experiences they otherwise wouldn't have had the chance to, they've met new friends, they're more physically active and they are learning about and eating healthy food.

Good news! The programme will be funded for the next 3 years.

The next programme will run during the Easter holidays; we will be running the face-to-face programme across two weeks: 4-15 April.

Hosting activities at school sites has proved a very successful model, whether activities are delivered by an external provider or the school delivering activities themselves. The site is familiar to families and your knowledge of your pupils helps ensure that the families who can benefit most attend the sessions.

Activities will be funded for those eligible for means tested free school meals, but we would encourage a blended model where paid-for places (or free places funded outside of Big Norfolk Holiday Fun) are available on the same scheme for non-eligible families.

We would like to grow this model of delivery and would like to understand whether you might be able to support by delivering or hosting on your site(s). We would be grateful if you would complete the School Expression of Interest form.

Best wishes
