Reinstatement of placement contribution income for SLCN Base placements from September 2022

The full integrated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) offer is back in place fulltime from September 2022.

In tandem with these changes the placement contribution income process will also be reinstated. Schools referring pupils to the Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) admissions panels should note the following arrangements:-

  • The placement contribution charges to home schools will apply to new placements agreed by the SLCN Base admissions panels from the June 22 panel onwards.
  • For SLCN Base placements that were made prior to the June 22 panel and that are continuing into the new academic year, placement contribution charges will not be applicable.
