We have a fantastic offer of fully funded and subsidised Inclusion and SEND advice, guidance, training, and resources for your school, supporting you to develop more inclusive school cultures and curriculums for the whole-school community.

Early Intervention and Prevention

  • This Mental Health and Wellbeing (MHWB) Network Session will provide your school with practical evidence-based resources and illustrative examples of good practice to enable pupils to play a part in promoting mental health, helping you make a meaningful difference for your school community.
  • These fully funded e-learning modules support existing whole-school approaches to promoting social, emotional, and mental health.
  • To coincide with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, we are providing all Norfolk schools with a fully funded webinar delivered by Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust, Under 18 Eating Disorder Service, supported by Norfolk Schools Early Intervention and Prevention Team.

Norfolk Steps - a subsidised offer for Norfolk schools and Trusts.

Our recently revised Norfolk Steps programme is achieving a 5/5 evaluation score and we are delighted over two thirds of Norfolk schools are now part of the programme. Learning and SEND

  • Medical Needs Service Twilight | Norfolk Services for Schools

    This twilight session will support settings and professionals to understand the role and service offer of the Medical Needs Team at Norfolk County Council.
  • SLCN Level 4 Award | Norfolk Services for Schools

    This exciting initiative will enable participants to develop their knowledge and confidence in supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs and provide them with the opportunity to develop a range of practical skills to fulfil a school-based support role
  • INDES Moderation Panel:

  • Healthy Child Programme twilight | Norfolk Services for Schools

    An overview of the service, including the digital offer. Our role in supporting attendance concerns, additional needs, and medical needs
  • Norfolk SENDCo Now | Norfolk Services for Schools

    This training is designed for SENDCos who are new to the role; new to Norfolk; teachers aspiring to be a SENDCo, assistant SENDCos and those who would like to refresh their knowledge. The training aims to provide you with the knowledge that you need to navigate SEND support and advice in Norfolk. This is a 5-day course package. Day one will be a face-to-face meeting
  • SEND Shared Support Session 2 - Spring 2023 | Norfolk Services for Schools

    The new SEND shared support sessions aim to provide an opportunity for SENDCOs and other professionals working with children and young people with SEND. Each shared support session will have an identified key theme for discussion (delegates will be asked to suggest ideas/themes after the initial session).
  • Breakout room discussions in small groups will provide an opportunity to discuss, network and share learning with colleagues.

  • Inclusion and SEND twilight Specialist Resource Bases (SRBs) | Norfolk Services for Schools

    This course will provide an overview of the Specialist Resource Bases. Explain the process for referring pupils to an SRB. Clarify expectations of schools who have pupils at an SRB and other senior leaders in mainstream settings to meet with Learning and SEND advisers to discuss and ask questions regarding the revised E3 funding arrangements for the financial year 2022-23

SEND Modules

These High Quality Teaching modules aim to give teachers an overview of what High Quality Teaching looks like in a mainstream setting within the context of the role and responsibility of every teacher to be 'a teacher of SEND' therefore supporting the Teacher's Standards.

SEMH and Transitions Team

Led by Vicki Setters, Senior Adviser Inclusion, SEMH and Transitions

Offer of fully funded support:

  • Bespoke, intensive support for schools in relation to CYP that are close to exclusion
  • Support for schools with the transition of CYP that are placed via the Fair Access Team
  • Support for schools with ensuring effective Managed Moves
  • Exclusions Team support
  • Support with identifying whether an SEMH SRB application is appropriate
