2023/24 Budget Share
Schools' revenue budgets for 2023/24 will be available to view online from 28 February 2023.
Please note that following a revision to 2023-24 rates values within the schools budget shares to reflect the changes in rateable values, the cap communicated previously of 2.56% has now been revised to 2.40%.
Overall, this is a relatively small percentage change from the estimated gains cap, but the Local Authority is aware that this will have an impact on some schools more than others due to the nature of gains caps. A consultation was carried out in Autumn term 2022 regarding potential changes to the system of capping in Norfolk; the discussions at Norfolk Schools' Forum, following this consultation, resulted in no consensus for an alternative approach. As previously communicated on 31 January 2023, the hard cap system, therefore, remains in place. The Local Authority will engage further with the Forum ahead of the 2024/25 Fair Funding Consultation as to whether this is an aspect of Norfolk's schools funding formula that should be consulted on further.

Please note the SEN and LAC Allocation Memos, which are password protected, will not be available to view as no allocations will be made until the new financial year. Passwords for accessing the memos will be sent to Headteachers at the start of the new financial year.
