Managed Move Scheme Review Working Party - 2nd Meeting

Working Party

Following the feedback from the first Managed Move Working Party it was the consensus amongst the school representatives present to again meet in person for the follow up meeting. This will now take place at Norwich County Hall on Monday 22 May 2023 in the Edwards Room. Refreshments will be available from 8.30am with the meeting starting at 9.15 and ending at approximately 1pm.

After a positive response from schools, we have also booked a larger space and would like to open the invite up to any schools regardless of attendance at the first meeting. We would also like to highlight the plan to separate Primary and Secondary colleagues for part of the morning in order to respond to the slightly different needs of the schools. We would welcome Primary schools to send along representation in order to gain a better understanding of MM’s and collaborate on how to improve their use in Norfolk Primary schools as well as contributing to the overall MM review process.

Current Agenda for 22/05/23

  • Feedback from initial MMWP – summary of common themes to be shared ahead of meeting via email
  • Focused activity upon good practice “before, during and after” a MM – to include examples from schools and pupil voice
  • Discussion of current practice when seeking a MM at point of or in order to withdraw a PEX – we are seeking consultation with schools on potential changes to LA practice and its impact upon schools
  • Solution focused session around ideas so far put forward for changes to the MM scheme

If you are able to attend then please confirm this by emailing Hayley Goodson (hayley.goodson@norfolk.gov.uk ) If you would like to discuss anything then please make contact with Hayley or James Cox (james.cox@norfolk.gov.uk)”
