Preparing for the defibrillator cabinet rollout
The procurement of defibrillator cabinets has concluded. Secondary schools with two or more defibrillators will be provided with an internal defibrillator cabinet. Schools are encouraged locate this within their sports facility, as cardiac arrest is more likely to happen during sporting activities. Deliveries will take place automatically over the coming months. Schools will be contacted by the supplier, CMT, once their cabinet has been dispatched.
Primary schools, special schools and alternative provision in non-affluent areas are also being offered external defibrillator cabinets (where community access is generally lower). Eligible schools will be contacted directly. A list of eligible schools is published on GOV.UK.
