Health, Safety and Wellbeing Training

Our tutor led courses and e-learning modules have been updated in order to support the competency of those with HSW leadership, risk assessment and premise management responsibilities. The feedback, since revising the courses in 2022 has been extremely positive.

If your role requires you to attend health and safety training then please make sure that you attend as soon as possible. The courses available are as follows:

Leadership and Risk Assessment

  • Health and Safety Leadership for Headteachers and Managers
  • Risk Assessment - essential risk management

Premise Management

  • Safe Management of Premises - GENERAL
  • Safe Management of Premises - ASBESTOS
  • Safe Management of Premises - FIRE

The courses help you to understand your responsibilities and how you should be managing workplace risks. They will also support you to: establish a consistent approach to risk management; provide understanding of the core measures to be taken; develop competency and support a healthy and safe culture for your school workplaces and activities.

E-learning modules are also available for all staff in order to provide awareness, instruction and to support the implementation of the measures detailed in compliance codes. They cover a number of key areas such as DSE, Driving safely for work, Personal Safety, Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace, etc. An Infection Control module has recently been made available.
