Supporting SLT to meet the RSHE Guidance requirements with confidence

Would you like to feel more confident that your school's approach to RSHE meets current requirements?

Join this online interactive session hosted by Josie Rayner-Wells, Senior Adviser for Early Intervention and Prevention, and former National RSHE Adviser, with Alice Ndiaye, Inclusion Adviser: RSHE on 25 September between 16:00 - 17:00.

Encouraging positive and healthy personal development is one of the central roles of children's education in England. There is an overlap between RSHE education and a school's responsibility for pastoral support and promoting children's personal development. Many schools across Norfolk have embedded a high-quality, effective provision which is evidencable in several recent local Ofsted inspections.

We recognise the concerns that recent media attention to this pivotal curriculum has created and are pleased to be providing a virtual support session for SLT, RSHE Leads and school governors to clarify the requirements of the RSHE Guidance on a whole-school approach and the curriculum, including resourcing.

This interactive session will be delivered by Josie Rayner-Wells, former National RSHE Adviser, to clarify the current requirements on schools, provide live debate to the key issues that current media attention has created, offer reassurances and top tips for effective approaches so you can be fully confident in your school provision.

To protect a safe, secure environment for school leaders to collaborate and address their concerns, the session will not be recorded.

Outcomes

Attendance at this session will enable school leaders to:

  • Be confident in their fulfilment of the legal requirements
  • Take effective approaches to positive parental engagement
  • Know how to manage any parental complaints.
