Launch of the Norfolk Continuum of Need Guidance
Sent on behalf of the Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership
We are pleased to launch the new Norfolk Continuum of Need Guidance which replaces the Norfolk Threshold Guide. This Guidance sets out our approach to keeping children in Norfolk safe and protected from harm. It is designed to ensure that across the continuum of need professionals consider that the right help is given to the right children at the right time and for the right duration. This document incorporates recent changes made around how our services are organised.
There is a guidance booklet for professionals as well as a Descriptors of Need booklet to use with families and a Consent Leaflet. These documents are all underpinned with a toolbox.
More details about all of these documents and tools can be found on the new Norfolk Continuum of Need Guidance page on the NSCP's website.
As part of the toolkit and the wider work we are doing about the Attendance Strategy A Staged Intervention Pathway for Promoting Good School Attendance has been published. The aim of this guidance is to provide pathways for schools and any professional working with families to promote good school attendance and identify and support vulnerable groups by responding to attendance concerns at the earliest opportunity. Please share and disseminate the resources with the DSL Team and wider staff as appropriate.
If you were unable to attend one of the launch events, the Powerpoint slides and a recording can be found here.
