Early Years Funding Formula Consultation - Autumn 2023

The Local Authority plans to consult with early years providers via an online survey to gather views on the implementation of funding for additional parental entitlements from April 2024, and the methodology used to determine the funding formula for the 2024-25 financial year.

The consultation questions have been informed by discussion with your representatives at Schools Forum and the sector wide Early Years Consultative Group. These representatives will consider your responses alongside local authority officers to inform the approach Norfolk County Council takes to setting the formula for distributing Early Years Funding from April 2024.

Early Years providers will be asked to complete an on-line survey. We hope that this will ensure that as many views are gathered as possible.

Surgeries will take place across the county to give providers the opportunity to meet with local authority staff to discuss any queries concerning the new entitlements and/or survey content. Ideally colleagues will attend an event before filling in the survey.
