Local First Inclusion - Developing a Norfolk Commitment to Inclusion: not too late to participate

This MI sheet will allow you to access a range of engaging resources that enable pupils to participate in an ambitious project to develop a shared commitment to inclusion across Norfolk.

Developing mainstream inclusion, culture and practice is one of the main focuses of the Local First Inclusion Programme. One aspect of this work is to promote a shared understanding of effective SEND support through developing a commitment to inclusion which helps enable all children and young people with SEND to Flourish. Find out more about the Local First Inclusion programme here - Norfolk Schools LFI.

We are committed to making sure that children and young people have the opportunity to feed in their views to help shape the Norfolk Commitment. To help with this we have a package of flexible, ready to use resources for tutor time, school council, PSHE curriculum and intervention activities around getting to know your new classes and new students. They can be easily tailored to the needs of your school and your students.

Within the pack is a link to a short (approx. 10 minutes) feedback survey to complete after the activities are completed. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be used alongside input from children and young people, families, professionals and the existing evidence base to inform what consistent, high quality and well supported SEN support and inclusive practice should look like across Norfolk.

We've also produced a new 'how to' video guide to help you make the most of the resources. Click here to watch this new video guide.
