The current Schools Catering Group contract delivered by Norse is due to end on 31 March 2024, so to ensure the best possible outcomes and value for money, the Schools Forum formed the Schools Catering Commissioning Group (SCCG) in July 2023 to advocate for Norfolk schools and ensure the best deal is secured, working closely with commissioners in Children's Services. Both the SCCG and the Schools Forum have endorsed the proposal to extend the period of the contract for a further 12 months to ensure colleagues have time to find the best longer-term solution. We are currently following our internal procedures to ensure this is in place and this will be formalised in December.

What does this mean for me?

• If you are currently in the Schools Catering Group Contract, you will be covered for a further year until end March 2025.
