Positive behaviour support through your own trained Norfolk Steps Lead Professionals!

Norfolk Steps is an approach which has been developing continuously since 2009 to help staff to support needs of all children and young people. Our evidence-based training views all behaviour as communication and provides staff with the knowledge, understanding and tools to help children and young people develop prosocial behaviours and to manage behaviours that may challenge or harm.

Norfolk Steps training can help schools and social care settings develop and embed a culture of positive behaviour support through a consistent, whole setting approach led by their own trained Lead Professionals with support from the Norfolk Steps Team.

We have a flexible, heavily subsidised support programme, including e-learning, and Lead Professional training, please contact sendandinclusiontraining@norfolk.gov.uk if you need help deciding the best way forward for your setting.

'There has been a noticeable change in the language staff are using with pupils following our training and the positive impact this is having around school when clear expectations are the same for everyone is great'. Deputy Head - Norfolk

'As a leader of behaviour and culture in my school, this immediately feeds into changes we are making in our approach to our behaviour policy. Being able to lead training means we can ensure consistency.' SENCO - Norfolk
