Easter Big Norfolk Holiday Fun Bookings Now Open
The Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme will be open for bookings from 4pm Tuesday 27 February via our Every Move activity finder. Easter activities are available from 02-12 April.
Help us promote the programme
We have a range of free promotional marketing tools to help you get the message out to all children who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Please Download the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun promoter pack here, and help us to encourage families to book onto the activities.
There are a number of ways that you can support us with this:-
- Send the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun flyers home with children who receive benefits-related free school meals. You will find these flyers in the promoter pack.
- Make your pastoral team aware of the information so they are able to engage with families where they may struggle to make the booking themselves.
- Promote the scheme in your weekly school newsletter
- Promote the scheme on your Facebook page using the social media images provided (or share Norfolk County Council's Facebook posts).
Referrals
We have a small amount of funding available for children and young people who are not in receipt of benefits-related free school meals, but who would really get a lot from taking part in the programme for free. These BNHF Awarded Places are limited and subject to referral criteria, you can check the criteria here. We would expect referrals for these places to come from professionals rather than from parents. The new form to refer a child in is here. When making a referral please take note of the following:
- Always check with the family that the child isn't already in receipt of benefits-related free school meals. Families can check here. As you will know, just because one child in a family is eligible, not all their children may be
- Some parents have considered that they are eligible for HAF as they are currently eligible for Universal free school meals for reception to Year 2. Families can check eligibility here.
- The earlier that we receive the applications the more opportunities we will be able to provide to our children & young people.
BNHF Bank Staff:
We are looking for experienced people who work with children and young people to join us to support our activity providers. We are especially keen to hear from anyone who can assist children with an EHCP who need one-to-one support. If you are interested, and have time this Easter holidays, please complete this form and we will be in touch.
If you have any questions, please email the team on bnhf@norfolk.gov.uk or visit our FAQ page here.
Thank you in advance for all your continued support.
