Extending the Growing Season - Holt Hall

Earlier this year Holt Hall ran two very successful gardening courses for growing organic fruit and vegetables. Now in response to demand, a new one day course will be held at Norfolk County Council's Holt Hall Field Studies Centre on Saturday 9th October 2010.

Suitable for gardeners with some experience this autumn themed day will give advice on how to extend the growing season and what to grow over the winter months together with guidance on how to plan and prepare the garden in readiness for next year. The price for this hands-on practical skills day is £45 and includes a guided tour around the Victorian walled garden, all necessary training resources and a seasonal lunch prepared using fruit and vegetables from the walled garden. Refreshments throughout the day are also included.

Chris Wright, Project Manager for 'Roots and Shoots - Growing for the Future' at Holt Hall will lead the course from 10am until 4pm.
