Scams Awareness Month - February 2011
Norfolk County Council Trading Standards are taking part in the national Scams Awareness Month in February 2011. The month will include Scamesty; we will be placing bins in the local community, encouraging people to collect their scam mailings and deposit them in the bins. We will also be highlighting Bogus Holiday Clubs and Ticket Scams.
Research has shown that grandparents are influenced more by their grandchildren than their own children. We would like to encourage young people to raise awareness about scams which are aimed at their grandparents.
If you would like your school to be involved in the campaign please contact: Teresa Haxell, email: teresa.haxell@norfolk.gov.uk or Tel: 01603 224288.
