National Curriculum Review
Teachers in Norfolk asked to join the National Curriculum debate
Teaching staff across Norfolk are being invited to give their views on the Government's review of the National Curriculum.
The review aims to give teachers greater freedom over how to teach and invites people at the frontline to share their views on what works. The review will:
Consider what subjects should be compulsory at what age
Consider what children should be taught in the main subjects at what age
Replace the current curriculum with one based on the best school systems in the world and provide a world-class resource for teachers and children
For more details about the review, click here and join the debate before it closes on 14 April 2011.
The Department for Education policy team is also looking for teachers who would be willing to make their views public via the media - please contact Jenny Thompson at the Central Office of Information (COI) on 01223 370784 or email Jenny Thompson if you would like to find out more.
