Media Handling Seminar for Schools
Chris Kelly's highly-rated media handling seminar is free for schools signed up for support from the County Council's Communications team. Schools not yet subscribing can still do so* by 10th June and be eligible for a place.
The seminar is being held at Hethel Engineering Centre on Thursday 7th July with sessions available in the morning (9am), afternoon (2pm) and (if sufficient demand) evening (6.30pm).
Each seminar (three and a half hours, including a break for refreshments) aims to give an understanding of the modern 24-hour news media, and how to cope when a school is in the news spotlight. A CD handout provides a handy guide for use when needed.
To secure a place, email John Birchall at john.birchall@norfolk.gov.uk as soon as possible (deadline 10th June).
Please title the message 'Media Skills Overview' and indicate all the sessions - morning, afternoon, evening - that you would be able to attend, and any preference. Further details will be supplied after the application deadline of 10th June.
