National Award in SEN Co-ordination
FAO - Chairs of Governors and Headteachers
Funding for the academic year 2011-12 is available for any new SENCO who is required to complete the National Award in SEN co-ordination. As you know, any teacher appointed for the first time to the role of SENCO after 2008, is required to complete this national qualification. The list of providers is available on the TDA website, and it is the responsibility of the SENCO to apply to their chosen provider. Cambridge University and Wolverhampton University will be hosting Norfolk based meetings for this course, (numbers permitting). SENCOs should apply directly to the institution as directed on the TDA website. However, it is the governing body's responsibility to ensure that the SENCO is appropriately qualified for their post.
