Scam Alert: Community Magazines

A Norfolk school has been approached by a business selling advertising space in a community magazine. The school has not agreed to anything, but there are concerns that other schools will be targeted.

If you do receive contact from a 'support publisher' about advertising in magazines, diaries, wallcharts etc. to support crime prevention, drug awareness or other 'good causes', be wary. Do not agree to any service (e.g. placing an advert or having proofs sent to you) unless you are sure that the opportunity offers the school good value for money.
