Paul Fisher Assistant Director for Business Compliance is Retiring

It's with deep regret that I have to confirm that Paul Fisher, Assistant Director for Business and Compliance is retiring after many years with the County Council. Paul is not one to blow his own trumpet but he has established a reputation for combining a deep understanding of strategy and almost magical ability to keep an eye on the detail - thus ensuring that the County Council achieves its objectives in relation to children and young people with minimal risk and maximum effect. His talents have been used across the County Council and the respect and esteem he enjoys is felt by staff and Members across all departments.

I know many of you will want to mark Paul's retirement. Messages can be sent to Michele Herring who will also hold the collection and card.

New Appointments

Given the recent departure of Fred Corbett and the imminent departure of Paul Fisher I am very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Finance Business Partner Owen Jenkins. Owen will formally start in June, but will attend some key meetings in advance as he already works within the County Council

New Assistant Director

I have received approval to appoint to a new Assistant Director post within CSLT. This post will provide leadership for early years, education and youth services. Work is underway to scope this post and I hope to recruit before the end of the Summer Term.
