Getting Through: Art Exhibition to be a Chance for Children to Discuss Communication
Are the children at your school or nursery champions at chatting; speedy with their speech sounds; or first to make friends? When they communicate are their messages 'Getting Through'?
A Getting Through Art Exhibition is being organised by Speech and Language Therapists from Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) and is open to schools and nurseries across Norfolk. It hopes that by creating this artwork, it will give you an opportunity to discuss communication with the children at your setting.
Coinciding with the recent Olympic Games, NCH&C is looking for children to create some pictures which reveal what makes your school or nursery a gold medal winning communication setting, or one that shows how you jump those communication hurdles.
Following the success of last year's Let's Connect Art Exhibition, this year they are hope to find out even more about what communication means to Norfolk's children.
Last year's successful event saw over 90 pieces of art submitted - and this time around they would love to see even more people get involved. Please be aware that space is limited so you will need to book your place before the spaces fill up. For more information, email rebecca.hart2@nchc.nhs.uk or natalie.charlton@nchc.nhs.uk.
