Performing Arts Students at City College Norwich are currently working hard to create a range of high-standard performances for next term and form part of a production company of performers and technicians to achieve this. They are currently working towards a performance aimed at an audience of 5-10year olds. The cast of sixteen are keen to tour local schools and can offer a forty minute show between June 10th - 19th on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Heard it in The Playground is an original, devised piece of theatre which celebrates the life of the primary school through the eyes of the teachers and pupils. The performance is based on the school poems of Allan Ahlberg, which are brought to life through song, dance and acting by the Musical Theatre students. This entertaining and often hilarious look at school life will engage with many young children and provide some really interesting topics for teachers to explore within their own classes.
The students would like to perform in schools, but would need to have their transport and other expenses covered.
