Free Diabetes training for schools

This new training course is being delivered at no cost to schools through a partnership between Paediatric Diabetes Outreach Nurses from the 3 Norfolk Hospitals (The Jenny Lind Children's Hospital at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and The James Paget Hospital) and the Healthy Schools Team in Norfolk.

By attending the training participants will have an understanding of this medical condition and its impact on children and young people in schools. Participants will be provided with supporting information to cascade this information to colleagues back in school. Many schools will already have pupils with a diagnosis of diabetes and all schools may find pupils with diabetes will come through the school system to their school at some point.
