Michael Gove tackles homophobic language
Michael Gove has appealed to radio presenters not to make jokes or use pejorative language about gay people. The Education Secretary also called on teachers to intervene to stop playground taunts about children''s sexuality and pledged to support schools that tackled homophobic bullying. Mr Gove was among the speakers at a conference in London hosted by Stonewall to highlight bullying of gay and lesbian students in schools and colleges.
