National Anti-Bullying Week 2013 (18 - 22 November 2013) - Safe, Fun and Connected

This week is national Anti-Bullying Week 2013 (18 - 22 November 2013) and the theme is Safe, Fun and Connected. This is such an important topic in schools that hopefully you will spend some time focusing on it. There are lots of useful resources available from the Anti-Bullying Alliance, Beat Bullying and Kidscape and these are attached below. Do also look at other websites such as CEOP and Childnet International as they have lots of helpful E-safety tips for children and young people. For further information such as merchandise/posters go directly to the websites:

Please don''''t forget to get your school involved in our annual norrfolk anti-bullying survey which you will have received details of. This is applicable for children in Years 5 - 10 and the closing date is the end of this term so there is plenty of time left for your school to do it. If you have lost the details and need them again, get in touch with Rita Adair, Senior Lead Educational Psychologist.

Finally we still have some places left on the Cyberbullying and E-Safety course at Norwich PDC (Wittard Road) on 22 November 2013. You need to contact Michele Blazey by Wednesday 20th November to ensure you have secured a place. The cost is £100 and keynote speaker is Adrienne Katz. Further details available from Rita Adair.
