NUT Strike Action Wednesday 26th March 2014
This is a reminder that the NUT plan to take strike action on Wednesday 26 March 2014.
Is your school going to be open, closed or partially closed on the day of the strike?
By now, you will have a view on whether your school is likely to be open to pupils on the day.
It is essential that the Local Authority is notified of any planned school closures through the school closure system as soon as the decision to close (whether wholly or partially) has been taken- there is no need to wait until the strike day: planned school closures can be entered as soon as they are known. The information will not be published before the date of the strike.
Please ensure this information is provided today, if it has not been provided already.
Information about school closure can be entered using the Emergency School Closures system in the My school section on the Norfolk Schools website
.Have you arrangements in place for ensuring appropriate pay deductions are made?
You will need to provide information about those staff absent due to strike action, so that appropriate pay adjustment can be made. See the website for previously published information on this subject.
Where is there information previously issued?
Further information, including frequently asked questions, was issued in MI sheet 44/14.
Information is also available on the Norfolk Schools Website.
Schools that buy an HR service from Norfolk County Council can contact HR Direct on 01603 222212 with any queries.
