Please Beware Hoax Calls

A Business Support Manager at Norfolk County Council has very recently received a call requesting the contact details of all our Team Managers for agency staff, for a project the caller said he was working on - (the 'H' project), he actually named two large employment agencies that are currently providing staff for Norfolk County Council. The individual identified themselves as Dan from HR and when challenged terminated the call.

This is not information that would be provided in this way, even if we suspected the call was valid. Therefore, the employment agencies have been advised accordingly and both parties have confirmed that the call did not originate from their HR Departments and it is important to remember that requests of this type would come through Norfolk County Council's HR Department.
