Effective EAL resources - what's out there? (secondary)
Due to the popularity of the EAL resources course (Primary), we are now able to offer a similar course for Secondary on 9 December.
As well as providing a FREE follow up session of whole school training and/or support with an EAL Adviser, this course will cover:
- Resources for EAL beginners
- English initial assessment materials
- Useful websites pupils can access to improve their grammar and vocabulary
- Excellent IPad/Tablet apps
- Translation tools
- Software which easily creates translated induction packs for parents
- Simplified readers in GCSE set exam texts
- Websites for teaching resources, EAL support
- Training in supporting more advanced learners with their literacy and academic English
- Subject specific resources
- Bi-lingual resources (dictionaries, books etc.)
- Information on entering pupils for first language GCSEs
