Recognition for your school's environmental efforts

An appeal is being made to schools in Norwich to enter the city's well-known Eco Awards.

The awards aim to give local schools, community groups and businesses the opportunity to showcase good work they have done in the last 12 months in any environmentally-friendly project or scheme.

Two of the four categories are for outstanding eco primary school and outstanding eco secondary school.

Bicycle recycling, community food growing, organic waste recycling, and composting are just a few of the previous winning projects.

Last year's winners were West Earlham Junior School and Open Academy.

Its quick and easy to enter. You can apply online or download a form from www.norwich.gov.uk/ecoawards or feel free to contact Claire Tullett at clairetullet@norwich.gov.uk or call 01603 212545 for more information.

All entrants will be invited to an official awards ceremony at City Hall on Tuesday 21 April and will be given recognition for their work with a certificate. Winners will be presented with a trophy and artwork to use on letter headings, websites and for general marketing purposes to show their status as eco high achievers.
