Heatwave plan for England and Met Office Alerts

Summer is upon us so it seems a good idea to remind you about the Heatwave plan for England which can be downloaded from www.gov.uk/government/publications/heatwave-plan-for-england along with specific advice on looking after children and those in Early Years settings.

The Met Office will issue heatwave alerts from 1 June 2014 to 15 September 2015 and you can sign up to receive these alerts directly from them. For a new registration, or to make amendments to an existing registration, contact the Met Office by email using enquiries@metoffice.gov.uk providing name, organisation and email address.
