Objectives
- To understand and recognise children's musical development in the Early Years
- To engage in workshops; collect ideas and opportunities for music making in EYFS and KS1
Our key speaker is Adam Ockelford
Adam Ockelford is now a Professor of Music at the University of Roehampton, the Chair of Soundabout -- a charity which supports music education for children -- and founder of the AMBER Trust, which supports visually impaired children in their pursuit of music. He is also Secretary of the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research (SEMPRE).
Workshops will be running for all those in Early Years and KS1 settings led by Sue Nicholls. Sue is a national music education figure possibly most well-known for her publications
