Assessing Pupils who are Working Below the Standard of the Tests at Key Stage 1 and 2

Monday 23rd May at Fred Nicholson School, Dereham - 9.30 to 12.30

A half day event to support teachers making statutory assessment judgements for pupils who are working below the standard of the key stage.

This event is for teachers in Special and Mainstream schools, with pupils who will be assessed using the Pre-Key Stage interim frameworks or the P Scales because they:

  • Do not meet the Working Towards the Expected Standard criteria in Reading, Writing or Mathematics at Key Stage 1, or the Key Stage 2 Working Towards the Expected Standard criteria in Writing
  • Have not been entered for the Key Stage 2 reading and mathematics tests as they will not be able to answer the easiest questions

The event will include an introduction, giving technical guidance and advice in using the materials and making judgements, followed by the opportunity to moderate judgements with peers in a supported environment.

Although pitched at teachers to support making judgements, senior leaders and support staff who are involved in assessment are also welcome to attend.

To book on this event please contact Elizabeth Philpot (01603 307776 - elizabeth.philpot@norfolk.gov.uk) or Julia Idiens (01603 307797 - Julia.idiens@norfolk.gov.uk)
