National Paralympic Heritage Trust for School
As we get ready to enjoy the 2016 Paralympics in Rio we would like to tell you about an exciting new project being developed by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust which has recently been formed thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding -
The project will promote the history and heritage of the British Paralympic movement and the plan is to open a heritage centre, deliver a series of nationwide exhibitions together with outreach activities, all supported by a website of stories and information. An important part of this project will be to develop a free education programme for schools across the country where students can learn more about the Paralympics.
Whilst we are in the planning stage we are looking for a range of different primary, secondary school and college teachers to take part in a 30 minute 'phone consultation where we can ask you some questions about what the education programme could look like, what would be of interest, links to the curriculum and what resources, events, activities could be created. The phone call can be arranged to fit in with your schedule but must be completed by the Friday 23rd September. Anyone who takes part in the consultation will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a ½50 M&S voucher.
If you feel you can help please get in touch with lisa@brightculture.co.uk by Wednesday 14th September.
