REMINDER - Operation Encompass within Norfolk, Autumn 2016 Briefings

A Police Sergeant and his wife, the Headteacher of a primary school in Plymouth, developed Operation Encompass in 2012 to provide early notification to Key Adults within the schools when a pupil has been affected by Domestic Violence (DV) in the last 24 hours. The school would then ensure the appropriate support (overt or silent) would be available for that child.

Following a successful pilot in the Great Yarmouth area, Operation Encompass will be launched across the county from January 2017.

This is a reminder that briefing sessions are being held in the West Norfolk Professional Development Centre on 8 November, and in the Norwich Professional Development Centre on 22 & 30 November and 7 December for one Key Adult per school. As places are very limited, schools are asked to please send only one delegate on only one session.
