Play, Like, Share - Helping 8-10 year olds stay safe online
In order to make sure children are safe, the NCA's CEOP education team have developed a fun and engaging package of classroom materials and three ten-minute cartoons that teach children to recognise abusive and threatening behaviour. The materials are age appropriate and stay away from explicit discussions about dangerous adults; instead, the cartoons focus on a talent show where school rivals use online anonymity to try naughtily to derail each others' success. The videos and the accompanying 100-page lesson pack will be a real help for teachers and professionals in what a tricky and very concerning area. The accompanying resource pack, created by the team behind the NCA's Thinkuknow online safety campaign, includes guidance, worksheets and lesson plans that will teach pupils to recognise pressurising or threatening behaviours online. www.thinkuknow.co.uk | |
