Broads Authority launches consultation on new education strategy

The Broads Authority is currently consulting on its strategy for education for the next 5 years.

It is recognised that engaging young people and offering quality learning opportunities is essential to the future of the Broads National Park and is a vital role for the Broads Authority.

The education strategy aims to provide a clear progression of opportunities for young people to learn about and engage with the Broads and emphasises the benefits of high quality outdoor learning. The strategy has three key areas of focus which are:

  • Offering informal outreach opportunities.
  • Providing and facilitating formal education about the Broads.
  • Improving resource capacity.

We would like to hear thoughts about the strategy in general, any feedback regarding the objectives and key actions, and the concept and possible content of a Broads Curriculum which could be used by schools to assist learning about this special area.

The link to the strategy is here: www.broads-authority.gov.uk
