Exciting Design Project Opportunity for KS2

The project is a county wide initiative that is currently being formulated by the Norfolk Association of Architects (regional branch of the Royal Institute of British Architects). It is principally aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils and is open to any Norfolk school that is willing to participate.

The brief asks that pupils work together, as class group, in communicating their ideas and visions for their 'city of the future'. With help from teachers, assistants (and visiting architects), simple 'architectural' drawings and models are to be created.

The event will form part of the bi-annual Festival of Architecture in Norfolk and Norwich 2017 (FANN17) which includes a public exhibition Forum. It is intended that a selection of the 'best' entries from schools across Norfolk will be displayed as part of the exhibition.

For your reference, details of the last Festival (FANN15) can be viewed here: www.fann.org.uk

FANN17 is set to run for the whole of October 2017. Naturally, the 'Architects of the Future' event will need to occur in advance of this, so that work can be prepared for the public exhibition in The Forum. If you are keen to participate, please contact
