Royal Forestry Society Excellence in Forestry Awards

As you may be aware, the Royal Forestry Society Excellence in Forestry Awards are taking place this year in the East of England and the Midlands. Following the success of last year, we are continuing with the RFS Education and Learning Award, kindly sponsored by PEFC. The award is designed to embrace education and learning linked to forestry, across the spectrum of schools, colleges, universities, training providers and other educational organisations.

We are seeking best practice and innovation where there are excellent outcomes for students and learners in forestry and natural resources. We would welcome a submission from any school in Norfolk actively involved in education outside the classroom and in woodland settings. It is an opportunity to highlight innovation and best practice

  • The homepage for the RFS Excellence in Forestry Awards is here.
  • The RFS Education and Learning Award link is here.

This contains the guidelines and application form that can be downloaded and returned to RFS by the deadline noon 7 March 2017. There is no fee for an Education and Learning Award application. Case studies from previous winners are available on the website. You will see a wide range of projects and programmes have been recognised.

We hope you will be able to make an application to highlight some of your excellent teaching and innovative programmes.
