Mars in the Community Fund - Available to Schools within 15 miles of King's Lynn

There is a fund (Mars in the Community) that is open to applications from schools within a 15 mile radius of the King's Lynn PE30 4JE Mars site.

Mars in the Community criteria:

Mars would welcome applications for support from the local community (within a 15 mile radius of the King's Lynn PE30 4JE Mars site) against the new criteria of :

  • Nutrition: Helping individuals and families eat more balanced diets
  • Educational programmes: teaching people to cook healthy balanced meals
  • Projects that develop life skills and inspire people to cook.
  • Sustainability: Advancing sustainable communities, especially community gardens and growing projects
  • School growing spaces
  • Community growing spaces
  • Benefits of Shared meals: Supporting community or education projects that promote and Inspire people to cook and eat together.
  • School food technology area makeovers
  • Provide pop up kitchens to enable communities or schools to cook
  • Community cooking programmes and projects

Grants available and who can apply

Grants of between £500 - £3,000 are available. Charitable organisations within a 15 mile radius of the Mars site in King's Lynn (PE30 4JE) are eligible to apply. Schools are also eligible to apply.
