STEM - Energy Education - Using Energy

Using Energy! offers the ability to teach pupils the basics about energy usage, new technology and concepts of saving energy at a well-known landmark - Norwich City Football Club .

Using Energy! makes energy education fun, accessible and easy to teach. It helps educate pupils on the fundamental principles of energy saving technology and how simple changes can be made to improve energy usage.

This day session will allow pupils to understand and apply this concept and technology to the real world. Pupils will visit an inspiring landmark, Norwich City Football Club, and learn about how energy is used. After an energy tour around the Football Club, the pupils will then work in a team to come up with an energy saving proposal for the Football Club.

Using Energy! will inspire your pupils and support the curriculum. This innovative STEM/Energy project has the potential to link into a carry on project looking at how the school uses energy, and how simple changes can be made around the school.

Energy and the Curriculum

The Using Energy! session can help meet the requirements of the National Curriculum in the following areas;

  • Science; Working scientifically, Analysis and evaluation, Energy, Electricity and electromagnet
  • Design and Technology; Design and Technology knowledge
  • Mathematics; Working mathematically

The session will also consist of development of soft skill such as; teamwork , leadership, communication skills, presentation of ideas, being inspired to seek out and learn new skill and applying those skills.

Price:

£26 per pupil

Norfolk County Council is offering 75% subsidy to all pupils for this experience. Looked After (LAC) and Pupil Premium (PP) pupils will receive 100% subsidy. Making this pupil experience FREE for LAC and PP pupils and £6.50 per pupils for others.

Subsidy is dependant on School/Academy please check before booking.

Minimum number of 20 pupils and Maximum number of 36 pupils.
