Nominations to Norfolk Satellite and County Netball Screening

As you are probably aware England Netball has a Performance Pathway. This was set up to improve the standard of competitive netball played in England, with the aim of ensuring there is an increased number of better quality athletes progressing into the England High Performance programme. The Performance Pathway is the main way of developing high quality English athletes, taking players from 11-12 years old all the way through to our Senior National team.

The Screening Process

In 2018 the screening process will be as follows:

• Saturday 19th May - athletes in current years 6,7 who are not in an academy at present will trial from 9 am to 12.00 pm at UEA Sportspark, Norwich NR4 7LP
• Saturday 19th May 2017 - athletes in current years 8, 9, who are not in an academy at present will trial from 1 pm to 3 pm at UEA Sportspark, Norwich, NR4 7LP
• Athletes selected from these trials will then go into 2 long squad sessions with the current academy athletes. These 2 long squad sessions will be held at UEA Sportspark on Saturday 9th June and Sunday 24th June 2018.
• At the end of the long squad sessions athletes will be advised if they have been successful in being selected for a place in one of the academies.

Should you wish to nominate player(s) to attend the screening please ensure that the athlete is available for the above dates.
