Speech and Language Therapy training day for primary school SENCOs

East Coast Community Healthcare Speech and Language Therapy team are running a free training day for Primary school SENCOs in the Spring term. The 'SENCO survival course' will provide

  • Knowledge of the incidence of SLCN and the impact on behaviour, academic progress and social development
  • Knowledge and tools to audit, identify and support SLCN within your schools.
  • Key strategy ideas to support pupils at a universal level across the curriculum.
  • Opportunities to hear from colleagues about interventions and tools they have successfully used in their settings

Delegates will also receive a 'survival kit', with resources to enable them to put their knowledge into practice in their schools.

There is an option of 2 dates to attend this course:

Tuesday 12th February 2019 - 9.15 am - 3.30pm
The ACT centre, St Michaels Avenue, Aylsham NR11 6YA

Or

Thursday 14th March 2019 - 9.15 am - 3.30pm
Ayton House, 11-17 Ayton Road , Wymondham , NR18 0QQ

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

The course is free to Primary school SENCOs but spaces are limited, so book your place as soon as possible by emailing ECCH.SALTtraining@nhs.net. Places will be allocated on a first-come basis.
