World Mental Health Day - 10 October (Free event for schools)
This year, the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) has decided to make suicide prevention the main theme of World Mental Health Day.
It is often believed that it is only adults who exhibit suicidal behaviors, but it should be made known that many children and young people engage in this kind of behavior. There are numerous complex factors that contribute to a suicide, but what is most important is that all of our actions must be geared toward prevention.
This course is aimed at headteachers, schools senior leaders, designated safeguarding staff, school mental health leads, pastoral staff, other school staff interested in self-harm and suicide prevention.
