CAMHS Transformation in Norfolk & Waveney

Welcome to the latest update on our system-wide work to redesign and transform mental health services for children and young people in Norfolk and Waveney. Please do cascade and circulate as widely as you can.

Back in May, we held a series of engagement events to help shape the new service model. They provided excellent feedback, ideas and questions, and helped us produce a summary document that aims to explain in high level terms how the new model might work. We're in the process of setting up a frequently asked question page on the STP website, which will be updated as we progress.

The broad view from these events was that the proposed model sounded good in theory, but participants were keen to understand how it might work in practice. As a result, a group of operational colleagues from across the system met in the first week of September with representation from Young Commissioners for two days of workshops, using your feedback and ideas to develop a more detailed proposal.

These workshops were very productive, so we'll be hosting a further series of engagement events to feedback on progress and give more opportunity to shape the new model. Front line practitioners from any sector with an interest in CAMHS are welcome to attend the following dates:
